Main Accountabilities:
Plan, organize, and control construction estimating activities in a business-like manner.

Prepare, coordinate, review and distribute construction estimates in accordance with Company policy and procedures, Workflow, and Work Instructions.
Re-estimate and issue construction man-hours and material costs as requested by proposal management.

Update Unit Rates and Material cost databases to keep them current.
Update Labor and Construction Equipment Rates to keep them current
Prepare construction estimates for Job Change Notices (JCN).
Prepare reports and analysis pertinent to construction estimating as requested by Management
Preparation of cost plans to advise customers of budgets and check appraisals.
Assisting professionals to add value and reduce cost in design.
Development of standard specifications.
Briefing external PQS on BOQ preparation.
Developing a procurement strategy for each tender and chairing mid tender meetings with In house and professional teams.
Managing Subcontract supply chain packages during tender period.
Work with Construction Team to produce programme and preliminaries for the project.
Production of tenders for adjudication by the senior management team.
Assist in Preparation of Contractors Proposals
Participate in post contract activities such as customer meetings and reviews with the construction team to ensure margin retention and repeat custom.

| Ensure that any actions and activities assigned at the mobilisation stage are implemented within agreed timescales
Plan/schedule own work priorities and activities in line with the Section plans and Construction Schedule referring unresolved conflicts to Site Manager or Senior Site engineer.
Monitor the supervision of the work being undertaken by subordinates Engineers and Site Supervisors, taking any necessary remedial action to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards e.g. Contract documents, specifications, method statements, the company’s policy and procedures
Ensure that own work practices and those of colleagues, are compliant with the company’s Policy and procedures i.e. quality management, local labour laws and Safety procedures taking appropriate corrective action and/or reporting where non-compliance is identified.
Monitor/input into data collection systems, providing standard reports as necessary to ensure that superior has the necessary up to date information and data to effectively manage the project to meet its objectives.
